New Delhi Internship: Cardiff Law and Global Justice Students in India

In September 2018 Tom Rowland and Marco Miotti, students from the Cardiff Law and Global Justice Pro-Bono programme, were hosted for a three-week internship in New Delhi by our partners the Nirmal and Kapila Hingorani Foundation. The Foundation honours the work of two pioneers of Public Interest Litigation in India and Cardiff University has a special tie with it as Kapila Hingorani was the first South Asian woman to graduate from the University. The internship was funded by the University’s Global Opportunities scheme and it adds to our existing internship programme in Nairobi, Kenya. Tom and Marcus work with the Delhi Commission for Women, with advocates in the High Court of Delhi, and at the Death Penalty Law Centre of the National Law University, Delhi. Read their report.
