Surabhi Ranganathan

Lecturer in International Law, Cambridge University

Surabhi is a Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, and a Fellow at King's College, University of Cambridge. She is also a fellow of the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance. Her research combines doctrinal analyses with exploration of the history and political economy of international law. With an interest in natural resources, distribution, and ecological issues, her current work focuses on the law of the sea and global commons.

Author of Strategically Created Treaty Conflicts and the Politics of International Law (CUP 2014), a study canvassing the law of treaties, law of the sea, disarmament law, and international criminal justice, Surabhi is currently working on her second monograph, on the legal regulation of the deep seabed.
