Diamond Ashiagbor

Professor of Law, University of Kent

Diamond is currently working on a monograph on the social dimension of regional economic integration, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa and the European Union. She researches and publishes in the areas of labour/employment law; regional integration (the EU and the African Union); labour law, trade and development; human rights, equality and multiculturalism; economic sociology of law; law and the humanities.

Diamond is Professor of Law at Kent Law School, University of Kent. She was previously Professor of Law and Director of Research at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London and Professor of Labour Law at SOAS University of London. She has held visiting positions at Columbia Law School, Melbourne Law School, and Osgoode Hall. She is a member of the editorial boards of Feminist Legal Studies and Current Legal Problems.
